The class is designed for anyone with a camera, and any level of experience, to learn (or re-learn) the basics of photography. Topics covered are appropriate for both film and digital photographers.

Since 2000 I have been teaching photography for post secondary institutions, schools, and independent organizations. Hundreds of my students have enjoyed the program and developed a strong foundation allowing them to enjoy a life time of photography.

All class materials are supplied by me, so all you need to bring to class is your imagination, a camera, and a pen.

There are two courses offered, Introduction To Photography and Your Camera and Intermediate Photography. Both courses run for four weeks, one evening per week, approximately three hours per class.

The Intermediate Photography course includes a private excursion, only for my students, to the Western Development Museum’s terrific indoor 1910 Boomtown exhibit. This will give students access to use their cameras outside the classroom but with me on hand for help or to answer any questions. Regardless weather conditions, everyone can explore and photograph over 30 buildings portraying community life.
